Todd spent September and October of 2025 at the Purple Building in East Nashville in the middle of a creative burst, chasing what he called "the sound of country music 10 years from now."

He recorded his voice and guitar first, without a band or click track, so everyone else had to follow wherever he went. Todd left behind an unusually detailed trail of notes, emails, voice memos, demos and videos. Joe Bisirri and Robbie Crowell followed that roadmap to complete the record as closely to Todd's vision as possible.

The result is My Second Rodeo — ten new songs from Todd's final burst of studio work. Funny, strange, reflective and unmistakably Todd.
